This must be one of the most surreal, weird, unpleasant things I've ever experienced. I don't even like swimming in a sea when i can see fish, and that fish is scared of me and would never dream of approaching me. Hence to voluntarily put me feet into a bath of thousands of tiny fish that is hungry for my skin and felt not only completely unnatural but totally against my instincts.
Before I'd even put my feet in the fish started jumping out of the tank knowing they were going to be fed!(yes, dead skin is the fish main source of food). They were hungry for my yummy, huge feet and gosh did i feed them!
10 min of screaming, refusing to put my feet in, major sweating and a seriously raised heart rate, my feet were in. Its like a bubble bath they tell me, feet spa - i'd like to respectively disagree. There's not a remote possibility I'd compare it to a bubble bath. More like continuous, tiny electric shocks to my feet. And having sat stiff like a board thinking it was only 10 min - i had chosen the express one id like to point out, they tell me i have another 20 min to go!
Some of the guys around me seem to be enjoying it, and yes my feet are soft as a babies bum but the whole experience is not worth it. What's wrong with a normal pedicure? They don't even paint your nails so to me, it just doesn't seem to be worth it.
